Algorithmically interpreted series of portraits of Edward Snowden, Vladimir Putin and Barack Obama.
This first one is title simply Pink Putin. Given the passage into law of a bill banning gay “propaganda” in Russia, I felt Vladimir badly needed a pink overhaul. The second portrait in the series is of Edward Snowden. Do we really need to spy on everybody, everywhere, all the time to be safe?
The last piece is a triptych integrating Barack Obama. It felt appropriate to have Edward Snowden sandwiched between Obama and Putin.
The generative algorithm used to draw this portrait was inspired by the NSAs worldwide clandestine surveillance program know as “PRISM”.
